A great way to get to know fellow sangha participants, a "Dharma Duo" features two members of GBF sharing their background, what brought them to Buddhism, and how their practice and experience with the dharma has impacted their lives. ____________ Mark Hoffheimer has been a member of Gay Buddhist Fellowship for eight years. Professionally, he is an urban planner and urban designer facilitating community building, shared understanding and shared vision. He has also been involved with the Billys, a heart-centered community of men committed to fostering community, intimacy and personal exploration. Mark has a particular interest in Right Speech, the practice of speaking in ways that enhance understanding, promote harmony and reduce harm to others. ____________ Baruch Golden is a longtime GBF Member who has been practicing Vipassana meditation since 1998. He completed Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leaders program in 2012 and the Buddhist Chaplaincy Training Program with the Sati Center in Redwood City in 2013. He teaches dharma primarily at the East Bay Meditation Center and also taught mindfulness in elementary schools in SF and Oakland with the Mindful Schools Program. Baruch is a registered nurse and did hospice work for 14 years.
