Harvard Professor Avi Loeb says he and his team are the first humans to put their hands on material from a large object that came from outside our solar system. It’s never happened before. In 2014 the U.S. Govt. detected the fireball moving faster than the escape speed from the solar system which means it came from outside. It was moving faster than 95% of the stars in the vicinity of the sun. Loeb questioned whether it was artificial made from a substance tougher than iron meteorites. He led an expedition in June to the South Pacific that found the interstellar material. Loeb and his team used a magnetic sled to drag the ocean floor 6,500 feet down and discovered approximately 50 marbles the size of a head of a pin.
