It's that time of year again when I get in to my truck and head North to the Vortex Optics HQ in Wisconsin to catch up with some old friends and record a couple of episodes. On the first episode of "Vortex Week" I chat with new friend Cooper Long. Cooper works in the customer service department and is a hardcore bowhunter. Cooper and I talk about growing up in a hunting family, his learning curve for hunting mature bucks, and he breaks down his yearly hunting strategy.
The second half of this episode is Cooper sharing a big buck success story from the past hunting season. Sharing a property with one of his best friends, he talks about where this buck was living, the trail camera intel that led to identifying his pattern and putting him within shooting range on multiple occasions.
