Dr. Julia Bruene is a sports medicine physician at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH in Chicago, with special interests in acute and chronic orthopedic injuries, concussion management, care of female athletes, care of combat athletes, and special needs athletes. Undergrad bachelors degree from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Medical degree at Rush University Medical College, Chicago, IL. Family Medicine residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois, then completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She is a team physician for the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Red Stars and DePaul University. In her leisure time, Dr. Bruene co-hosts "Your Doctor Friends" pocast with Dr. Jeremy Alland.
