Let's go through the 2023 MLB Draft and declare the winners and losers for each division, finishing with the National League.
In the NL East, Miami absolutely leaned into what they do well and crushed it, being the only team with two potential frontline starters and some big power college bats. Philadelphia, however, took some pretty flawed players a round earlier than perhaps they should have, for the most part.
In the NL Central, we...didn't hate any of these? Both the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds did a good job of maximizing value, so we're going to call them both winners.
In the NL West, the San Francisco Giants continue to impress with the multiple options they gave themselves (especially in the middle infield), while the Los Angeles Dodgers can only be deemed to have had a good draft if you think their pitching development is both the best in the league AND infallible - which, they might be?
