Description

Costume designer Jeriana San Juan joins us on the pod to discuss her work on Netflix’s limited series "Halston," of which she is nominated for a Costume Design Guild Award: Excellence in Period Television (and was also nominated for an Emmy last year). Jeriana nailed so many of Halston’s trademark designs so beautifully, from his tie-dye chiffon caftans, backless halter dresses, and ultra suede trench dresses, to the stage-ready sequins for his muse, Liza Minnelli, and so much more.  Listen to her talk about recreating this stunning world of Halston (there were over 2000 costumes!), how she taught Ewan McGregor how to sew, drape and “move like a designer," all the Easter eggs she put in (and the ones she wanted to but was forbidden to, lol), and why kimonos are the gateway drug to collecting vintage fashion.  Follow Jeriana on Instagram @jeriana   For visuals of the costumes, follow us on Instagram at @fishnetflixpod and TikTok @fishnetflix !
