Description
Tage Thompson is a center with the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League. He was selected 26th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. One year later, he made his NHL debut agains the Penguins in October of 2017. In July of 2018 he was traded to Buffalo. In 2021-22, he had his breakout season, scoring 38 goals and compiling 68 points. The Sabres rewarded him with a seven-year contract extension in August of 2022 and this past season, he lived up to his new deal, scoring 47 goals with 47 assists and finishing 6th in the NHL in goals. He was also named to his first All-Star game in 2023. Today on the podcast, we talk about Tage's hockey journey, playing for the city of Buffalo, the sacrifice his parents made for him, why trusting in God's plan has allowed him to enjoy his job and how becoming a father has helped him see God in a new and fresh way.
