Shoot Your Shot - Shoutout to Simon Hi Emma and Sarah, I started job hunting almost 5 months ago and didn't have a lot of luck until recently! Coming from a toxic work environment had shattered my confidence and it was showing, I had been applying for roles beneath my ability with little success. After a good reset over the new year and then a holiday walking around Tasmania (i'm from NZ) I thought I needed to really do something about this and started listening to your podcast! I listened to over a dozen episodes whilst on holiday and surpise a company I had applied to, rang and wanted an interview as soon as possible, so whilst on holiday we did a zoom interview which I thought I bombed, but they wanted a second one when I got back. long story short your positive practical advice gave me the confidence and tips I needed to succeed in the interviews and I just got the job this week! It's a step up, with more pay, slightly less hours and great benefits. But most importantly the people there are so nice; it's almost a dream.
