Ad Astra Travelers! Welcome to another episode of Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast. Last week, we discussed the one and oni, Arataki Itto and the Arataki Gang. Last we heard, Itto and the gang were staying out of trouble, and jail! This week, we'll be discussing the Gods of the Desert. As our travelers first started to explore Sumeru, and all of its desert expansions, you may have noticed a few different names floating around for different gods of the regions. Our hosts start by deciphering who is who when it comes to the gods: King Deshret, the Goddess of Flowers, and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata. After our hosts discuss another ancient throuple, they'll dive into the history of each god, their short comings, deception, and deaths. From there, our hosts will go through the importance of that history in relations to current Teyvat, some of our favorite reincarnation theories, and they'll even speculate where they think Makoto's body is buried!
