Description

Episode 60 of Sound of Hockey starts with a slightly more serious tone than others, as John, Andy, and Darren get into a pretty deep conversation about this week's firing of Don Cherry by Sportsnet. After Cherry - a long-time icon in Canadian hockey lore - went on a rant about immigrants to Canada not wearing poppies for Remembrance Day, he was finally shown the door by his employer following years of generally questionable statements and antics.  Also in this episode, another somewhat intense chat about a controversial subject, as Hillary Knight had been quoted as calling the NWHL a "glorified beer league." John debunks her argument. But, if you're somebody who likes the hijinks of Sound of Hockey, don't worry, because there's plenty of that as well, with a variety of segments from Let's Get Quizzical to Goalie Gear Corner to Weekly One-Timers.
