Description

Joni Taylor is the women's head basketball coach at Texas A&M. In high school, she was the 1997 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Mississippi and played college basketball at Alabama from 1997-2001.  After her playing career was over, she turned to coaching and had stops at Troy, Louisiana Tech, Alabama, LSU and Georgia as assistants before being named head coach at Georgia in 2015. During her time with the Bulldogs, she led them to the NCAA Tournament four times and won 20 games in four of her seven seasons. On March 23, 2022, she was announced as the new head coach for Texas A&M.  Today on the podcast, we talk to coach Taylor about the lessons she learned in her first year at Texas A&M, the importance of her faith in Jesus and how her walk with Christ influences the way that she coaches.  Sign up for our Sports Spectrum Magazine and receive 15% off a 1-year subscription by using the code PODCAST15 http://SportsSpectrum.com/magazine
