Something’s Gotta Give is the story of Harry Sanborn played by Jack Nicholson and Erica Barry played by Diane Keaton. When we meet Harry Sanborn he is actually dating Erica Barry’s daughter Marin played by Amanda Peet. Amanda is 35 ish years younger than Harry. We learn very quickly, Harry is one of those perpetual bachelors who exclusively dates women much younger than him. When Marin and Harry go to her mother’s beach house they run into Erica Barry along with Marin’s sister Zoe played by Frances McDormand.
