Here's a sample from the show notes availalble for a Patreon subscribers: Permits No permit is needed to run the Rubicon Trail which is technically an Eldorado County public road. A permit is required to have a campfire in the Eldorado National Forest.  You can get these at https://www.readyforwildfire.org/permits/campfire-permit/ No permit is required for campfire at Rubicon Springs as it is private land, but permission to have one will be posted at the host house in Rubicon Springs.
