Martha pays tribute to America's heroes, as World War II Veteran Bud Gahs joins to discuss being drafted into the United States Army at the age of 18, and the training he underwent before arriving in France to join the allied forces fighting Germany.
 
Later, he talks about how he won the Bronze Star while serving, how his unit was involved in the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp, and he reflects on the meaning of Memorial Day and the importance of remembering those who lost their lives while serving.
