Description
Aokigahara Forest, also known as the Sea of Trees, is a dense forest located at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. The forest covers an area of approximately 35 square kilometers and is known for its rocky terrain, thick foliage, and lava caves. The forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, deer, bears, Japanese marten, and Japanese dormouse. However, it is perhaps most famous for its reputation as a suicide hotspot over here in the west. The number of suicides that occur in the forest each year is difficult to determine, but it is estimated that around 100 people take their own lives there annually. This has led to the forest being referred to as the "suicide forest" and has sparked a great deal of controversy and debate.Get 20% off + free shipping with the code FUZZ20 at manscaped.com.
