The Metropolitan Police has faced criticism following the controversial arrest of six anti-monarchy protesters during King Charles III’s coronation under new public order laws. Recent changes to the law under the new Public Order Act, passed shortly before the coronation, make it illegal for protesters to use equipment to secure themselves to things like railings.
