Description
Shelby Rogers is a professional tennis player who turned pro in 2010 at the age of 17. In 2020, Rogers defeated Serena Williams in the Top Seed Open and became only the fouth player ranked outside the top 100 to defeat Serena in a main-draw match. Later that year, she reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open and in 2021, she reached the 4th round of the Austrailian Open and the 3rd round of Wimbledon. In August of 2022, Rogers reached her highest career ranking of No. 30 on the WTA tour and had three wins over top 10 players including defeating No. 9 ranked Danielle Collins in their French Open second round matchup. Today on the podcast, we talk to Shelby about being a follower of Christ on the WTA tour, finding identiy and purpose away from the tennis court and the Bible studies she's a part of with other tennis players.
