--------------------------------------------------------------------
In this episode we welcome Assistant Underwriting Manager at Avemco Insurance Company Luke Barnette to discuss all things insurance, and more specifically flight instructor liability insurance. What is it? Why should you consider having it? And how to keep yourself protected?
We also discuss what happens if you have a claim, and how the process works behind the scene to help the pilots navigate a stressful time.
For those not familiar, Luke explains some common misconceptions behind aviation insurance, and flight instructor liabilities.
Finally, Luke opens up the Avemco claim files to discuss some of the interesting situations they have had reported

Luke Barnette is Assistant Underwriting Manager for Avemco Insurance Company. Luke joined Avemco in 2007. He says "what I love about Avemco is the great diversity of people you get to deal with. There are the young folks just starting out in aviation, the people who fly for business, and the older pilots who've been flying for decades. It's a wonderful mix." He devotes his free time to hunting and fishing in the woods and lakes of Maryland.
