United Women took on Villa, too, in a brilliant weekend for the club all round, Millie Turner scoring a 93rd-minute winner to maintain United’s title hopes and keep them three points clear at the top of the Women’s Super League.
The U21s played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Spurs while the U18s’ frenetic late season fixture schedule continued with a thrilling 4-3 win away at Sunderland including another goal for the exciting young prospect Shea Lacey.
