Description
From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, Jeff and Marisa share their top and bottom real-life experiences living as a digital nomad over their past 10+ combined years of traveling.
Your capacity for happiness is much, much higher in life living as a digital nomad. Your Tuesday could be: swimming with whale sharks in the morning, working from the beach curing the day, and climbing a mountain with your best friends for a view of the sunset over the ocean in the evening.
You could find yourself saying “yes” to a weeklong hiking trip on the Whale Trail in South Africa, on a whim. You could also find dancing every night in Mexico in a month-long, 100 hour dance class. You’ll truly never feel more free in life than saying “yes” to experiences while traveling.
But in perfect contrast, your capacity for lows is more extreme as well. What you typically see in digital nomad Instagram stories is the very best - sunset views, beautiful work locations, amazing food, etc. What you don’t see are the difficult times.
The reality of digital nomad life (that nobody seems to talk about) is that you’ll run into hardships that are more pronounced while traveling. Injury and illness can happen, and it can be particularly difficult to navigate in strange and unfamiliar cities!
In this episode Jeff and Marisa discuss some of their most amazing and memorable experiences, along with some of their lowest experiences (and how they were able to handle them).
