The Cincinnati Reds were dominated for seven innings by the Texas Rangers and Martin Perez, but then the eighth inning happened. Even though it was the Reds eighth-straight game without a home run, it was their second-straight game scoring seven runs and beating the Rangers. Nick Senzel came up huge, Jake Fraley delivered in a clutch moment that was set up by brilliant strategy from David Bell, and the Reds scored six times in the eighth to win. The great night from Senzel has us wondering what value he brings to the Reds at this point in his career? Also, the bullpen once again saved the Reds game. After a confusing start for Luke Weaver (allows six runs, strikes out eight) the bullpen provided three and a third scoreless innings for the Reds and shutdown the Rangers lineup.
