Description
Today's show is in two parts. First, the historic stone eagle has landed. After the original was destroyed by lightning, it was decided to give the Hurlbut Gate at Detroit's Waterworks Park a glow-up by the Great Lakes Water Authority. I was there for the installation this morning and talked to Doug Atkinson about it. Then, it's makerspace time. i3Detroit has been building community in Ferndale and now they've basically doubled their footprint with all kinds of new stuff for creative minds to work with, thanks to a grant from the MEDC. i3Detroit president Matt Arnold joins me to talk about it, and an upcoming grand opening of the space. We do this show each and every weekday covering what to know and where to go in Metro Detroit on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you listen to shows. Plus, our new round of etched Daily Detroit rocks glasses are here. They're only for Patreon members, so support our work today!
