In the series, Buddy is portrayed as the quintessential golden boy of Rydell High School. As the series progresses, Buddy begins to confront certain truths about the school's social hierarchy, including the discrimination and prejudice faced by some students. These realizations leave him at a crossroads, and he must decide whether to maintain the status quo or to use his position of influence to effect change and fight for the rights of those who are marginalized.
