Universal Studios produced the remaining twelve films. Basil Rathbone plays Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce is Dr. Watson in all fourteen movies in the series. For many movie fans Mr. Rathbone and Mr. Bruce are the definitive characters from the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle detective mystery novel.We agree with this assessment.
