Sunset Riders is a Konami arcade classic. It was also ported to the SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis and the Nintendo SNES. But where is the love for this western side-scrolling run and gun masterpiece?
There's a certain cowboy franchise that's about to drop a massive sequel and it's got Dylan thinking about his favourite Western-a-like, Sunset Riders. Why no reboot mooted? Is it because Konami is holding the IP hostage? He's got some other theories and only a few are not ludicrous. Join the gang on a journey as they explore the game's arcade origins, 16-bit conversions and try to fathom why there appears to be not much love for this once revered game.
