Description
GET OVER HERE!!! MORTAL KOMBAT!!!! That’s right! On this very special episode of Not A Bomb, Troy and Brad give you two bombs for the price of one. First, the gang rides a mysterious boat to an island for a fighting tournament and discusses 1995’s Mortal Kombat. This movie has it all! You’ll get to see Johnny Cage crotch punch a $1M animatronic character, our heroes fight a CGI reptile from the 90’s, some guy named Art Lean punches his way to the semi-finals, and Christopher freaking Lambert play Lord Exposition…..we mean Lord Raiden. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, Mortal Kombat is considered one of the better video game movies and was a financial success. Sadly, the critics hated it which is why it’s on a podcast called Not A Bomb. Listen as Brad and Troy rain infinite praise upon this film.If one Mortal Kombat movie wasn’t enough, the boys decide to suffer through Mortal Kombat Annihilation. The 1997 sequel takes all that is great about the first film and completely destroys it. This movie sucks and is pretty much unwatchable. Hear Troy and Brad ponder Shao Kahn’s family issues, CGI dragons, and reject village people. If you want to leave feedback or suggest a movie bomb, please drop us a line at NotABombPod@gmail.com. This week Troy and Brad are graciously joined, once again, by Bret Saxton to discuss the 1984 Rock & Roll Fable - Streets of Fire. The film mixes various movie genres into a “hybridization” of neo-noir, western, action, and, musical elements. by Not a Bomb
