Description

Welcome to Crawlspace. In this episode, Tim Pilleri & Lance Reenstierna sit down with Charlie from the hit show, Crimelines. The conversation begins with Charlie's captivating background as a sign-language expert before moving into the stories of Ray Green & Fred Martinez. In May of 2014, Ray Green's body was discovered in a large toolbox on the property he shared with his second wife, Dani. He had been shot 10 times, seemingly while he was asleep. However, Dani had myriad accounts of the events leading up to Ray's death.
16 year old Navajo Fred "FC" Martinez Jr., was found in a canyon south of Cortez Colorado on June 21, 2001. He had been beaten to death, bludgeoned with a rock by Shaun Murphy, 18 years old, who was in town selling meth. The two had never been aquatinted. FC was also nádleehí which is in a sense transgender. Many Native American cultures have 7 or 9 genders and being nádleehí meant one had the gift of seeing the world through the eyes of multiple genders. FC's murder was NOT considered a hate crime.
