Description

This week we chat with Ryan J. Brown! He's a writer and a producer as well as the series creator behind Wreck, the BBC/Hulu queer slasher set on a cruise ship! We chat about making an incredibly queer show, he gives us hints about what season/series 2 will look like (expect more slashery goodness!!) and we talk about the Karen of it all. Ryan talks about how The Sixth Sense terrified him growing up and then we transition into discussing the movie that was his other Scarred for Life moment: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). We chat about some of the problematic aspects of the people involved, the changes from Joss's original script, his public persona/antics and some of the lines that still kill to this day. You can follow Ryan on Twitter. Check out his movie on Hulu (USA) and the BBC iPlayer (UK).
