Dr. Appleton has published widely in the area of eating behavior, health, and well-being.  Important to today’s topic, she was a co-author on a systematic review and meta-analyses of intervention studies on the effects of low-calorie sweeteners on energy intake and body weight, published in the International Journal of Obesity in 2021.
