NFL Players’ Association executive director DeMaurice Smith issued a statement as the weekend began which took direct aim at NFL ownership.

And it all centered around the league’s continued hesitancy to award players – like Lamar Jackson - fully guaranteed contracts. But, Smith’s statement was met with its fair share of backlash, and the Ravens flock made sure its voice was heard.
