Sure, there are TONS of places you can live for under $1k per month…but the question is whether or not they are legitimate digital nomad destinations.
So we came up with a list of places we have actually lived in that are both under $1,000 per month AND are digital nomad-worthy.
In order to qualify for this list, each location had to satisfy the following criteria:

Under $1,000/month in expenses (with modest spending habits).
Is a digital nomad destination (you’ll find community there).
Easy access to strong internet.
Easy access to food/drink/restaurants and entertainment.
Relatively safe.

And you would be shocked by the number of places we were able to come up with - as a matter of fact we had to substantially cut our list just to keep the podcast length manageable!
