MF DOOM was both man and myth. In era where we know way too much about the rappers we love Daniel Dumile was able to stay shrouded in mystery up until the very end of his life. So how do you tell the story of one of Hip Hop's most enigmatic artists and his masterwork Madvilliany? Writer Will Hagle was grappling with this question as he sought to write a book about the project for the vaunted 33 1/3 series. His approach to breaking down Madvillnay may take some by surprise.
