In the early hours of December 30, 2022, police raided the Pennsylvania family home of Bryan Kohberger, the suspect in the brutal slayings of four University of Idaho students. The authorities found a Glock 22 with three empty magazines, knives, black masks, gloves, laptops, and other items. However, one discovery raised questions about Kohberger's behavior. Monroe County First Assistant Michael Mancuso revealed that Kohberger "was found awake in the kitchen area dressed in shorts and a shirt a wearing latex medical type gloves and apparently was taking his personal trash and putting it into separate zip lock baggies." This discovery may suggest why investigators only recovered DNA from Kohberger's family members and not from him after taking trash from outside the family home. Police sent the trash to Idaho for testing and found a DNA profile that was almost certainly a match for the father of the person whose DNA was found on the knife sheath at the crime scene. #LatexGloves #TrashDiscovery #EvidenceDestruction
