A resident of this central California town captured footage of an unidentifiable creature scurrying across his lawn. He offered the tape to experts and the media who couldn’t determine what this strange monster was. Soon, more sightings were reported across California and beyond. The odd-shaped scampering being didn’t do any harm and was soon embraced as an online phenomenon.
