Madeline Zima is a filmmaker and actress with over three decades of experience in the film and television industry. Her first short film, WARM HUMAN MAGIC, premiered this year at Dances With Films, and was also programmed at the Female Eye Film Fest and the Madrid International Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best New Filmmaker and Best Actress. As an actress, Madeline was recently hand-picked by David Lynch for Showtime's TWIN PEAKS reboot and was a series regular on CALIFORNICATION (SHOWTIME). Madeline, a former child actor, made her debut in the film THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE as well as the 90's sitcom THE NANNY (CBS). She's recurred and guest starred on dozens of TV shows, most notably HEROES (NBC), THE VAMPIRE DIARIES (CW), Amazon's BETAS, GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC), and ROYAL PAINS (USA). Her favorite film role was starring in MY OWN LOVE SONG alongside Renée Zellwegger and Forrest Whitaker in Oliver Dahan's follow up to his Oscar winning film LA VIE EN ROSE. Madeline regularly performs onstage in the UCB My Diary Show as well as charitable outreach performances to raise money for the housing crisis in Los Angeles. A native of Los Angeles, Madeline has grown up on film sets and is currently developing a TV show with her two sisters, who are also actresses and screenwriters, Yvonne Zima and Vanessa Zima.   You can download or subscribe to our podcast for FREE by clicking below. But their careers feel light years away from ours, don’t they? Wouldn’t it be great to hear from the guy who just booked his first pilot? Or the kid finally doing a studio pic after a bunch of low budget indies? Or the woman who’s been a series regular a few times but is only now becoming a name? What about the guy who’s been on a show for years and you know his face but what’shisnameagain? Or that actress who is now a freakin’ showrunner???? How’d THEY do it, right? How did they transition from relative obscurity, bartending and bottle service, to buying that house in Brentwood? We’re producing “Kahnversations,” a podcast that provides access to THOSE people -- your immediate predecessors -- so that you can learn from them while their battle scars are still fresh. In “Kahnversations,” our own Ryan Bailey interviews some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers in order to learn how they got started in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds. (They also dish out some crazy stories!) Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their paths, processes, and experiences. You might even hear a bit about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers.

We've all heard the stories from block buster actors. In Kahnversations, you’ll hear interviews with some of Lesly Kahn & Company’s working actors, directors, and writers. Folks who have just broken through, not yet to wild star status, but they aren't bartending either (probably). The goal: de-mystifying career trajectories and talking through those moments where everything shifted. We’ll learn how they got their start in Hollywood, the challenges and hurdles they faced, and how they overcame the odds, not to mention dish some juicy stories! Listen in and enjoy as these entertainers speak candidly about their path, process, and experiences, and about how Lesly and the Kahnstitute have influenced and shaped their careers. Also, did we mention Lesly impersonations…? Our new hosts (also LK&Co actors!) have a cool, free-flowing vibe that we know you will enjoy. George Twopointoh, producer of the podcast (IG @twopointoh and georgetwopointoh.com) and Patrice Covington, Emmy award winning actress-singer-speaker, and writer and performer of our theme song (@patricecovington on social media) joyfully guide the Kahnversation.
