The Chicago Cubs won 84 games last season, their fewest since 2014. It’s quite a change for the franchise that was forever known for being lovable losers that there is disappointment after an 84-win season but that’s what happens when the team averaged more than 96 wins in the previous four seasons.
The Cubs do have a lot of familiar names, players that have been part of their recent success, including Anthony Rizzo, Javy Baez, and Kris Bryant. The pitching staff is chock full of veterans, including Yu Darvish, Jose Quintana, Kyle Hendricks, and Jon Lester.
