Description
Dave "Rage" James is a former Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and currently mentors civilians interested in joining the military to become part of special operations. Prior to joining the Marine Corps, James served an enlistment in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. James details his path to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion in the 80s and some of the obstacles he overcame to achieve the title of Recon. He also discusses his "gold winging" ceremony (where Marines are presented their gold jump wings after completing the required training syllabus) where his wings were pounded so hard into his chest that his left lung collapsed and damage was done to his heart.James had some comm issues so we will pick up his story again in the future so make sure to subscribe in order to be notified when his next episode drops. Also, make sure to check out James's YouTube channel where you can see some of the training he does with prospective special operations candidates.
