Description

Salvador Lara was a Marine infantry assaultman, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom veteran. During his first deployment to Iraq he earned two purple hearts for separate improvised explosive and suicide bomber attacks that caused multiple injuries; including, almost losing vision in one eye. He also had his helmet shot off his head by a sniper and and was involved in multiple engagements. This was a great podcast that explains the job of the Marine assaultman, how leadership can affect combat operations, PTSD and tragically high suicide rate of Marines from 2nd Battalion 7th Marine Regiment.Article: https://www.santafenewmexican.com/news/unit-stalked-by-suicide-trying-to-save-itself/article_f36671d6-e44c-584f-be71-5841d16949e2.htmlAs always, make sure to subscribe and share the show!YouTube: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysYouTubeSpotify: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysGooglePlay: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysGoogleApplePodcast: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysAppleiHeartRadio: http://bit.ly/formeractionguysiheartr...Contact:Website: www.jcramergraphics.com Instagram: www.instagram.com/jcramergraphics Instagram: www.instagram.com/formeractionguys Twitter: https://twitter.com/4meractionguys Email: formeractionguyspodcast@gmail.com Reference:152 - Walkie-talkie style tactical radio7-Ton – Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (Dump truck-sized military vehicle for hauling troops, supplies, etc.)ABC - ANGLICO Basic CourseANGLICO – Air Naval Gunfire Liaison CompanyBLT – Battalion Landing TeamBRC - Basic Reconnaissance CourseCAR – Combat Action RibbonCLB – Combat Logistics BattalionCO - Commanding OfficerCOC – Command Operations CenterCOP - Combat OutpostCorpsman – Navy medic attached to MarinesEOD – Explosive Ordnance DisposalFAC - Forward Air ControllerFCT – Firepower Control TeamFDC – Fire Direction ControlFET – Female Engagement Team.FSCC – Fire Support Coordination Center.
