Coetzee was also an important figure in race relations for the end of Apartheid in his country, as he developed a friendship with the famous imprisioned black leader of the racial justice movement, Nelson Mandela. Mandela was a huge boxing fan, who listened to Coetzee fights on the radio during his heavyweight title fights.Dan also has more on famous fighter birthdays this week including Muhammad Ali and Bernard Hopkins.
