Odds are you’ve seen it on TV and you may even be lucky enough to say you were there. For the last 25 years the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp has given aspiring musicians the chance to learn and hone their skills from their musical idols including Joe Perry, Roger Daltrey, Ace Frehley, Vince Neil, Jack Bruce, Jeff Beck and many more in legendary venues like Abbey Road Studios in London, the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood and the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. The camp, launched in 1997, has welcomed 6,000 campers and counselors who’ve lived, played and become family with rockstars and the man who founded it is David Fishof. David has recently released a book titled “Rock Camp: An Oral History, 25 Years of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp”. He shares the inside story on the origins, early struggles and challenges he faced to create an experience that would live up to the expectations of the musicians and campers. You’ll also get a history of the camp through interviews from the people who were there.
