Description

This week, Mike and Oteil kick off 2023 with Norwood Fisher, bass player from Fishbone! You'll hear Norwood tell the guys about his love for surfing and a story about a gift from Flea, tales of breaking bones bombing hills and playing shows injured, and why 2023 is going to be a great year. You’ll also hear him talk about his love of the Grateful Dead and other legendary groups as a young student of music, wild party stories from back in the day and how the universe told him to get sober, and much more.Norwood Fisher is the bassist for Fishbone, a centerpiece LA rock band for over 40 years. They have been described as “one of the most distinctive and eclectic alternative rock bands of the late 80’s,” and were influential on many other impactful LA bands of the time including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Thelonious Monster, and Psi Com. After many lineup changes over the years, Norwood is one of only two remaining members from the original lineup.-----------*DISCLAIMER: This podcast does NOT provide medical advice.
