Description
Peter Gallagher is back on the podcast. Last time we had him on to talk about his book Warren Zevon: Every Album, Every Song. This time he’s here to talk about his latest book Kiss in the 1970s. Peter takes us on a journey through KISS’s most eventful decade. In the early days, the band was just about done. Poor album reviews, some merited due to poor production, some underserved. With their record company against the wall and their manager’s money drained, KISS seemed destined to become one of the “lost” bands of the 70s. But, by the end of the decade, they were the biggest band in the world. Or, as they became famously known – "The Hottest Band In The World!"The music, the costumes, the concerts, the merchandise, the comic books, the TV appearances and the so bad it’s good ’78 film Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park. Peter is here to tell us all about it in part one of a two-part interview. In part two we the 14 albums released during that original era of the band with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. That includes the studio albums, the live albums and the four solo albums. That episode is coming soon!
