Description

Ten years had passed since we last saw Sidney Precott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley united at the end of “Scream 4.” For better or worse, they have changed a great deal. Additionally, in the fifth film, they function differently than ever before, taking a break from driving the story and rather supporting a new plot in the franchise. In “Scream,” they take on the roles of the legacy characters in a requel or legasequel. This week, Ryan and Amar venture into the drastic changes in the lives of the beloved “Scream” trio and evaluate the success of the character arcs and the performances by Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox. For the introduction, Ryan is joined by Doug Evasick. Ryan and Doug give twenty horror films released in 2022 a thumbs up or thumbs down.
