Ten years had passed since we last saw Sidney Precott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley united at the end of “Scream 4.” For better or worse, they have changed a great deal. Additionally, in the fifth film, they function differently than ever before, taking a break from driving the story and rather supporting a new plot in the franchise.
