For our final Nerdy V10s special show, James P is joined by James M to interview a friend of the FormulaNerds Jan Magnussen, as we dive into his F1 career.

Jan's career started in 1995 as McLaren test driver, before debuting later that year. Moving to Stewart Grand Prix for 1997, Jan remained with the team until midway through 1998.

We ask Jan about attending the launch of the ill-fated 1995 McLaren, and hear the very unique reason Nigel Mansell started his short McLaren career in Team Principal Ron Dennis's bad books.

Jan tells us about making his debut for the iconic McLaren team in 1995, and the preparation needed to race in place of the injured Mika Hakkinen.

After his move to Stewart Grand Prix for the 1997 season, Jan tells us about his struggles, and how ultimately his career ended in the sport but led to a highly successful career in sports car racing.
