Description

The House committee on January 6th has recommended criminal charges against former President Trump, and several others close to him. We saw the final public hearing of the committee yesterday, after an 18-month investigation, but there could be more revelations to come. Harvey Weinstein has been convicted in another sex-crimes trial, this time in Los Angeles. A jury found him guilty yesterday of three charges, including rape, but cleared him, or failed to reach a verdict, on several other counts. The number of migrants crossing in El Paso, Texas has gone down in recent days, but there are fears of a huge spike ahead. That's because a pandemic-era immigration policy could soon expire, perhaps as early as midnight tonight, despite a temporary hold on the rule from the Supreme Court. China is battling a disturbing new surge of COVID infections. A new study from the University of Hong Kong warns the country could see nearly a million deaths from the virus this winter, after lifting its harsh zero COVID policies. A 6.4 magnitude earthquake in California hit along the pacific coast overnight. The U.S. Geological Survey says the nearest town to the epicenter is Ferndale, some 4.5 hours north of San Francisco.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
