Description

Ed Byrne is a stand-up comedian and actor. Often seen on shows including Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo, Ed is currently on a huge nation wide tour with his show 'If I'm Honest'

It was down at the Nordic Bar just before the summer holidays that we met up with Ed to talk all things comedy.

Ed told us about his journey into stand-up from studying horticulture at university to heading to London to join the club circuit.

We discuss blank moments in writing new shows and searching for perfect book end jokes for a show.

Everyone has those difficult blank moments sometimes. Whether in your personal life, career, relationship, or in a public situation, writer's block, social anxiety, imposter syndrome, being off-form or having an identity crisis can affect anyone at any time. It's part of the human condition and yet it can throw us off course and make us feel helpless. Giles Paley-Phillips and Jim Daly host an informal, insightful podcast in which they chat to well-known people from comedy, acting, writing, broadcasting, politics and sports about their careers and how they get through these moments when things aren't going to plan theblankpodcast2018@gmail.com http://twitter.com/blankpod http://instagram.com/blankpod http://facebook.com/blankpod
