For more than a calendar year the Texas Longhorns had to hear about losing to the Kansas Jayhaws last year ... in football. For the second year in a row, Texas had a very explosive performance on the offensive end. The difference this year, Kansas did not. Bijan Robinson was the reason for the season, breaking his single game rushing record, rushing for over 240 yards and his single game touchdown record, finding the endzone four times. Johnathan Brooks, the future of the RB position at Texas, rushed for over 100 yards in his own right, with a 70 yard touchdown to superseal a victory over Kansas. Texas overall ran the ball 50 times and essentially ran the Kansas Jayhawks right off the field. Quinn Ewers wasn't asked to do much at all but Xavier Worthy and Jordan Whittington were still able to make a few nice plays respectively. This Texas defense continues to exceed all expectations and did so once again, this time on the road holding a Kansas offense who had been explosive at times to only 14 points. Texas now has to hope that this same Kansas team can beat Kansas State next Saturday to propel Texas into the Big 12 championship. In the meantime, Steve Sarkisian controlled what he can control.
