Description

Adam & Noah go ISO with 7-year NBA vet and current Wake Forest assistant coach Rex Walters. The former first round pick talks about how his coaches in middle school and high school doubted him and how that drove him throughout his career. He takes us through his remarkable run through the 1993 NCAA Tournament while leading Kansas to a Final Four and talks about the trash talking he did to opponents and media members. Rex explains how he landed his role in Blue Chips and what it was like to play epic pickup games on the set. He tells some ridiculous stories about the larger-than-life personalities he played with on the New Jersey Nets, including Derrick Coleman, Rick Mahorn, and Chuck Daly. He also details the incredible experience of playing with Allen Iverson in Philly during A.I.'s first seasons in the league. Rex recounts what it was like to be a part of the infamous Knicks-Heat rivalry. He also talks about his own coaching experience, including why he loved the G League and how he's managing to coach from home in the midst of a pandemic.
