Homily from the Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time. We get what we've chosen. The ending of a story reveals what kind of story it is. Regardless of how we start and how we proceed, we can choose to have a tragic story...or we can choose to have a love story. The determining factor is not the amount of sorrow or loss in our lives, but whether we choose God...or choose something other than God.
