The top 4 teams vying for the conference championship one again went 4-0 on Saturday, with USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Utah all having 3 combined losses in league play. When Tuesday's edition of the College Football Playoff rankings come out, the Pac-12 could see a clearer path to getting a 1-loss conference champion into it than they did a couple weeks ago.
On today's episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin examines the status of the Pac-12's pursuit of getting a team into the College Football Playoff. He goes through how much help the teams chasing the conference crown received over the weekend with regards to their CFP hopes.
The Pac-12 is seen as a conference with very little value as they go into their media rights negotiations with USC and UCLA leaving in 2024, but it might have more value than many people think. Their numbers over the last 7 full seasons are comparable--and arguably better--than what the Big 12 has gotten, who just renegotiated their media rights deal.
